Product Overview

Recombinant antibodies are antibodies generated through genetic engineering by cloning antibody-encoding gene sequences into expression vectors and transfecting them into host cells such as bacteria, yeast, insect cells, or mammalian cells for in vitro expression and purification. Unlike conventional polyclonal antibodies or hybridoma-derived monoclonal antibodies that rely on animal immune systems, recombinant antibody production is carried out entirely under controlled laboratory conditions.

 

Recombinant antibodies are defined by confirmed and known antibody gene sequences, including the variable and constant regions of both heavy and light chains. Production typically involves constructing plasmid vectors carrying the target antibody genes and using engineered host cells as production factories.
