Case 1: Untargeted Proteomics Reveals the Effects of Schizophrenia and Drug Treatment on Adipose Tissue
This study employed untargeted proteomics coupled with high-resolution mass spectrometry, to analyze the effects of MAM (methylammonium carbamate) induced schizophrenia models and antipsychotic drug treatments on protein expression in adipose tissue. The results showed that both the MAM model and drug treatment significantly altered the expression levels of proteins related to metabolism, inflammation, and energy regulation in adipose tissue, revealing the potential systemic effects of schizophrenia and its treatment on metabolism.
