Can Origin Draw PLS-DA
Origin is a widely used data analysis and graphing software in scientific and engineering fields, known for its powerful graphing capabilities and data analysis functions. However, Origin does not natively support PLS-DA (Partial Least Squares Discriminant Analysis).
PLS-DA is a complex statistical method for high-dimensional data processing and pattern recognition, typically implemented in specialized statistical or data analysis software such as MATLAB, R, SIMCA, or specific libraries in Python (e.g., scikit-learn). These tools provide algorithms and functions better suited for complex multivariate analysis.
However, you can use Origin to plot the results of PLS-DA analysis. For instance, if you have conducted PLS-DA in R, MATLAB, or other software, you can export the resulting data (such as scores, loadings, VIP scores, etc.) into Origin, and then leverage Origin's powerful graphing capabilities to create high-quality charts, such as score plots or loading plots.
