PROTAC Assays Service
Proteolysis Targeting Chimera (PROTAC) is an emerging targeted protein degradation technology. Its fundamental principle involves using small molecule compounds to link the target protein with an E3 ligase, facilitating the ubiquitination of the target protein, which is then recognized and degraded by the proteasome. PROTAC technology enables the selective degradation of target proteins in cells, overcoming the limitations of traditional small-molecule drugs that can only inhibit protein function. Additionally, it regulates protein levels in organisms through targeted protein degradation, demonstrating significant application potential.
PROTAC assays service is widely applied in the fields of cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and immune disorders. By targeting and degrading oncogenic proteins in cancer or aberrant proteins in neurodegenerative diseases, PROTAC provides new strategies for targeted therapy and disease research. Moreover, PROTAC has important applications in drug development and antibody drug discovery, positioning itself as a cutting-edge technology in pharmaceutical research.

Case Study
1. PROTAC-mediated FTO protein degradation effectively alleviates diet-induced obesity and hepatic steatosis
This study primarily investigates the effects of PROTAC (Proteolysis Targeting Chimera)-mediated degradation of Fat Mass and Obesity-Associated Protein (FTO) in alleviating diet-induced obesity and hepatic steatosis. The findings demonstrate that selective degradation of FTO protein via PROTAC technology can effectively reduce obesity and liver fat accumulation caused by a high-fat diet. Furthermore, the study validates the role of FTO in metabolic diseases and highlights the potential of PROTAC-mediated protein degradation as a novel therapeutic strategy for metabolic disorders. Experimental results indicate that FTO degradation improves insulin sensitivity, reduces hepatic lipid accumulation, and mitigates obesity-related metabolic dysfunctions. This research provides a theoretical foundation for the development of new therapeutic drugs targeting obesity, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), and other metabolic diseases.
