    IS Analysis Service

The main compounds of free IS include indole and indoxyl sulfate. Indole is produced by gut microbiota through the metabolism of tryptophan and is subsequently converted into indoxyl sulfate in the liver. These compounds exhibit significant biological activity in the human body, particularly in patients with chronic kidney disease, where indoxyl sulfate, as a uremic toxin, exacerbates kidney damage and is associated with cardiovascular diseases. The metabolites of free IS include indole and indole acetic acid, which play crucial roles in the interactions between gut microbiota and host metabolism. Analyzing the levels of free IS and its metabolites in plant and biological samples is important for assessing the impact of gut microbiota on host health and for understanding kidney damage and metabolic disorders. Additionally, studying these metabolites in plants can help elucidate their potential roles in plant growth, development, and stress responses.
