    High-Depth Proteomics Service

      Proteins serve as key functional molecules in biological phenotypes and disease development, making their study essential for understanding biological mechanisms and developing novel therapies. However, traditional proteomics methods face significant limitations: techniques based on 2D gel electrophoresis typically identify around 1,000 proteins, while conventional enzymatic peptide analyses can detect a maximum of 3,000 to 4,000 proteins. This coverage represents only about 5% to 20% of the total proteome, which is insufficient for the demands of high-throughput quantitative analysis.

       

      In response to these challenges, high-throughput, high-coverage proteomics technologies have emerged. This technology combines advanced mass spectrometry (MS) techniques with refined sample preparation, enabling efficient and accurate quantification and identification of thousands of proteins in complex biological samples. By utilizing labeling techniques such as isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantitation (iTRAQ) and stable isotope labeling with amino acids in cell culture (SILAC), researchers can achieve enhanced sensitivity and greater depth of analysis, particularly in detecting low-abundance proteins.
