Deoxyuridine Analysis Service

Deoxyuridine is an important deoxynucleoside and a precursor of nucleotides, playing a crucial biological role. Its molecular formula is C₉H₁₂N₂O₅, and its structure consists of a deoxyribose molecule linked to a uracil base, forming a deoxynucleoside. Deoxyuridine is vital in nucleotide metabolism, participating in the synthesis of pyrimidine nucleotides and influencing the metabolic balance within cells. By detecting deoxyuridine and its metabolites (such as deoxyuridine triphosphate and deoxyuridine diphosphate), one can assess the nucleotide metabolic status of cells and understand their growth and proliferation capabilities.

Deoxyuridine can be converted into deoxyuridine triphosphate (dUDP) through enzymatic action, which is further converted into deoxyuridine diphosphate (dUTP). dUTP can subsequently serve as a substrate for DNA synthesis and is converted into deoxyuridine monophosphate (dUMP) in cells, which plays an important role in thymidine synthesis. As a significant component in metabolomics research, the analysis of deoxyuridine helps to unveil complex biological metabolic networks, enhancing our understanding of cellular functions and disease mechanisms.
