    1-methylpseudouridine Analysis Service

1-Methylpseudouridine (m1Ψ) is a chemically modified nucleoside that plays a critical role in RNA-based therapeutics, including mRNA vaccines. Structurally, m1Ψ is a derivative of pseudouridine, in which the nitrogen atom at position 1 of the pseudouridine ring is methylated. This methylation alters the chemical properties of the nucleoside, enhancing the stability and translation efficiency of synthetic mRNA while reducing its immunogenicity compared to unmodified uridine. These properties make m1Ψ an essential component in the development of advanced mRNA technologies, particularly in vaccines and therapeutics aimed at treating infectious diseases and various cancers.

Recent research on 1-methylpseudouridine has focused on understanding its impact on RNA secondary structure, its role in improving mRNA stability, and its potential to reduce innate immune responses. It has been shown that the incorporation of m1Ψ into mRNA increases the efficiency of protein expression, contributing to the enhanced efficacy of mRNA-based vaccines. The modification helps evade immune system detection, thus reducing the activation of pattern recognition receptors that would otherwise limit the therapeutic effect of unmodified RNA.
