    Uracil-5-Carboxylic Acid Analysis Service

      Uracil-5-carboxylic acid is a modified form of uracil, a pyrimidine nucleobase found in RNA. This derivative is characterized by a carboxylic acid group attached to the fifth carbon of the uracil ring. Its molecular formula is C₅H₄N₂O₄, with a molecular weight of 156.10 g/mol. Due to its polar nature, uracil-5-carboxylic acid can engage in a range of biochemical interactions, particularly involving nucleic acids and cellular signaling pathways. Elevated levels of uracil-5-carboxylic acid have been associated with oxidative stress and DNA damage, conditions commonly linked to the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS).
