Trans-aconitic acid is an intermediate product in the tricarboxylic acid cycle, widely present in plants, animals, and microorganisms. Cis-aconitic acid and trans-aconitic acid are two isomers of aconitic acid, differing in their structural configurations. Cis-aconitic acid has a cis double bond, whereas trans-aconitic acid has a trans double bond. This structural difference results in distinct physical, chemical, and biological properties. Cis-aconitic acid primarily participates in the citric acid cycle, playing a key role in the conversion of citric acid to isocitric acid. Trans-aconitic acid, while less involved in direct metabolic pathways, is significant in plant metabolic research and biomedical studies. Studies indicate that trans-aconitic acid also plays a key role in the pathological processes of certain diseases, such as cancer and metabolic disorders. Therefore, accurate quantitative and qualitative analysis of trans-aconitic acid is essential in plant research, clinical diagnostics, and metabolic studies.

Service Advantages
Sample Submission Requirements
1. Sample Types
Biological Fluids: Serum, plasma, urine, bile, bile acids
Animal Tissues: Cells, liver, brain, and other animal tissues, as well as feces
Other Samples: Plants, yeast, microorganisms
2. Sample Volume
At least 200 μL of liquid sample or 200 mg of solid sample.
3. Sample Transportation
For shipping, it is recommended to use an adequate amount of dry ice, considering that 3-4 kg of dry ice sublimates in one day. It is advisable to use larger blocks of dry ice as they sublimate more slowly. Ensure samples are sealed in a foam box and opt for the fastest possible shipping method to minimize sample degradation during transport.
