Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), a crucial component of the central nervous system, contains an abundance of small molecular metabolites essential for researching neurodegenerative diseases and other neurological disorders. Trace elements, particularly metal ions in CSF, significantly influence enzyme activities and the pathogenesis of various neurodegenerative conditions. Despite the challenges associated with CSF collection, its metabolic profile is relatively simple, making it ideal for comprehensive analysis. Analyzing CSF metabolites allows us to explore the pathology of nervous system disorders, offering valuable insights for clinical diagnosis and treatment.

Services at MtoZ Biolabs
Our CSF metabolomics analysis reveals the brain's metabolic balance and dynamics, aiding in diagnosing and understanding various neurological conditions, including brain injuries and Parkinson's disease. We utilize advanced metabolomics techniques such as LC-MS, GC-MS, DFI-MS/MS, and ICP-MS to perform detailed analyses of complex compounds and trace elements in CSF, elucidating their roles in neurodegenerative diseases. Our services ensure high precision and throughput in analyses, encompassing:
1. Untargeted Analysis
2. Targeted Analysis
Standard curve creation, meticulous preprocessing of raw data, and precise quantification
3. Bioinformatics Analysis
Service Advantages
Our ICP-MS technology provides high-precision quantification of trace metals in CSF, while our DFI-MS/MS technology enables the quantitative analysis of complex compounds not easily detectable with standard GC-MS or LC-MS.
Sample Submission Requirements
For CSF metabolomics analysis, collect samples in sterile centrifuge tubes, centrifuge at 1000-2000 g for 5 minutes at 4°C, and carefully collect the supernatant. If needed, filter through a 0.22 μm membrane. Aliquot 100 μL per tube, snap freeze in liquid nitrogen for 10 minutes, and store at -80°C. Proper sample handling ensures high-quality analysis at MtoZ Biolabs.
At MtoZ Biolabs, we deliver personalized CSF metabolomics analysis services. By leveraging our targeted and non-targeted metabolomics technologies, we offer not only precise metabolite identification and analysis but also comprehensive metabolic pathway analysis and differential metabolite screening. Our services provide extensive data and detailed reports, empowering you to unlock the potential of CSF metabolomics.
