    3-Methyl-L-Histidine Analysis Service

3-Methyl-L-Histidine (3-MH) is a metabolite mainly produced during the degradation of muscle proteins and is an important indicator of the muscle protein breakdown rate. Since dietary protein contains low levels of 3-MH, its concentration in urine and blood primarily reflects muscle protein metabolism. Analyzing 3-MH levels is crucial for studying muscle protein metabolism, diagnosing muscle diseases, and assessing nutritional status.

Changes in 3-MH levels can be associated with various physiological and pathological conditions, such as muscle atrophy, exercise-induced damage, malnutrition, and certain metabolic diseases. Accurate measurement of 3-MH concentrations provides insights into muscle protein metabolism dynamics, offering a scientific basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment.

MtoZ Biolabs utilizes liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) to conduct detailed quantitative and qualitative analyses of 3-MH. This advanced method integrates LC's rapid separation capabilities with the high detection sensitivity of MS/MS, facilitating the precise measurement of 3-MH in complex biological matrices.
