Overview

Thiols refer to a type of molecules, which contains a –SH functional group. Thiol is a functional group of cysteine, and play a important role assemble and maintain protein structures through formation of disulfide bonds. Sulfhydryl groups in the active site of enzyme can form non-covalent bonds with substrate, thus increase the affiliation of substrates to the enzymes. MtoZ Biolabs offers targeted thiols analysis service using an LC-MS-based multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) and GC-MS-based single ion monitoring (SIM) metabolomics platforms, which have characteristics of high accuracy, specificity, and sensitivity. We guarantee accurate analysis of thiols even in low abundance. With our optimized sample preparation methods, interference from high-abundance dominant metabolites can be hugely reduced, thus further increasing detecting sensitivity.
